Opposite Sides of The Gate by Noktowl Opposite Sides of The Gate by Noktowl
Usually I'm not into the popular creatures, but I made this one because I liked the concept. I don't hate Gyarados, I like most fish-based pokémon in general, but I never really fell in love with it either.

I can't believe I made an artwork of teh ever so popular oversized eel who lieks to be firin his lazor. I guess my life is complete now.

Because everybody knows, he's gonna kill you when he grows up.

This time, it's the coloring style of Walter Spies incorporated into oriental composition, mixed with my own style.

Yeah I'm a suckah for bookmark compositions. Smack me now.

Totally made with photoshop round brush.

Wow, really dynamic! It kinda gives you a feeling that Magikarp is somehow lowly, but then he becames a mighty Gyarados who stands against the sky! :') First so dark, then so birght. Awesome <3

I love the colours and the way you outlined it :) I think my fav part is how the magikarp is darker while the gyarados is bright and stands out against the light sky - it gives it an awesome depth, perspective, and sense of anticipation XD
